Frequently Asked Questions
Art & Prototypes
What would it cost to have Williams Industries produce prototypes for me using our graphics?
Providing prototypes is a part of Williams Industries' service to our customers. Certain prototypes including lenticular prototypes, the number of prototypes and the complexity of the prototype may require payment which may be refunded upon receipt of an order. Please contact your account executive for more details. If you provide us with graphics we would be happy to create a prototype that will have the look and feel of a production piece.
When would I be charged an “Art Charge”?
If we completely design a product for you, including layout and/or photographic work, you could be subject to an art charge. Also, if we have to make major changes to your submitted art we will contact you to discuss an adjustment in cost.
In what circumstances would I get charged a “Proof Charge”?
Proofs are included in your price, so under most circumstances there are no additional charges for proofs. However, if after seeing your proofs you decide to make adjustments other than minor copy or similar changes or you would like an additional proof then you may be subject to a proof charge.
How do you send an art file?
You can send art files via CD-ROM Disc, attached files to e-mail (recommended not over 5mb) and the FTP server.
General
What is the lead time for an order?
Lead times are based on product, quantity and availability of raw materials. Please contact your Sales Executive to find out how quickly we can ship your order.
When are there overrun charges?
An industry standard is to have an over/under run of +/- 5% to 10%. This reason is that in each step of the production process some product is lost to quality control (scrap). We can provide exact quantity however it is a little more costly due to additional scrap that we must absorb.
I can't seem to locate the item(s) I want on the site. Do you have more?
Yes, we can custom make your request or product. We have many product samples not to mention drawings of past projects. We encourage you to contact Williams Industries if you are looking for that special, unique item that no one else has. Williams Industries brings creative ideas to life!
